Councilor Aina is a second term Councilor at the Municipality of Magallanes, Province of Cavite. Councilor Aina is not a neophyte in public office. She worked tirelessly for almost 8 years in the same local government where her last post is as Municipal Administrator prior to running as a Councilor. She is an active member of various leagues such as the Philippine Councilor's League where she is seats as the Provincial PRO, Lady Local Legislators League as the Provincial Secretary-General and a member of National Movement of Young Legislators. She is also an educator doing part-time lectures at Lyceum of the Philippines University - Cavite. And she is also regularly invited as a Resource Speaker for various leadership trainings, both locally and abroad.
Coming from a 4th income class and a rural municipality, she vowed to continuously improve herself as a public servant and as an individual to be able to perform and deliver high quality public service. Hence, she proactively joined various leadership programs such as the Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) Program which strongly inspired her to become a servant leader embodying the values of being "matino at mahusay" and live by Sec. Jesse's brand of leadership which is "leadership by example". Through the program, she learned the value of community involvement and network building to efficiently and effectively formulate meaningful policies and implement programs.
Councilor Aina strongly advocates youth and women empowerment and highly supports the education sector. With the help of International Republican Institute and the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan, and the support of the Municipal Government of Magallanes, she was able to launch under the YLGG program the Magallanes Youth Leadership Program (MYLP) which aims to develop, empower and capacitate the youth for community development and nation building. She is forever grateful for all the opportunities that opened to her because of the YLGG Program.
