Councilor Marj is a 2nd term City Councilor at Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province. She is an active member of the National Movement of Young Legislators and is serving as the NMYL Chariperson for Region 2. She is a lawyer and a law professor by profession. She enjoys simple pursuits such as staying indoors and binge-watching series and movies. But most of all, she prides herself as a dedicated wife and mother of 2 kids.

Amidst all the responsibilities, Councilor Marj has learned the importance of commitment and dedication, both to her personal growth and to her life as a public servant, as she strives to be a leader that is both open and progressive. With this in mind, Councilor Marj became an active participant in the YLGG program. Her experience as a YLGG fellow ignited her belief in transparency in governance and she has learned to create programs with proper success indicators to measure impact and effectiveness, something the Sec. Jesse has continuously espoused throughout his leadership journey.

Councilor Marj has also continuously advocated for youth empowerment, inclusive growth, and perople participation, environmental protection, and preservation, as well as women and family welfare. Just last year, she launched her project under the YLGG program called "I AM SUPER! YeMa Nat Tuguegarao Legal Aid Project", a community based legal aid program that aims to empower solo parents who are financially challenged to proceed against their co-parents for support of their common children and intitute legal actions against persons who have upon infringed their rights.
