YLGG 6 fellows complete Module 3

On January 29–31, 2026, the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation, through the Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) Fellowship Program, convened the YLGG Batch 6 fellows for Module 3: 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆, held at B Hotel, Quezon City.

Over three intensive days, fellows engaged in rich discussions, policy-focused learning sessions, and hands-on workshops that explored how education initiatives can move beyond pilot projects and be institutionalized through sound policy and local ordinances. Through expert-led plenaries and panels, fellows examined the realities of education policy design and implementation, understanding why some policies succeed on the ground while others fall short.

The module highlighted how community education challenges can reveal deeper governance and system gaps, and how data, evidence, and stakeholder engagement can transform these challenges into policy opportunities. Fellows sharpened their skills through workshops on mapping projects to policy problems, drafting mini policy notes, and developing partner-ready project proposals to ground their ideas in real-world policy instruments and political realities.

A key highlight was the sharing of success stories from leaders who have successfully translated local education projects into policies, offering practical insights on leadership, persistence, and collaboration. The Development Marketplace further challenged fellows to present and refine education initiatives that are scalable, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our resource speakers, facilitators, and partners whose expertise and candor enriched the learning experience. We also commend the YLGG6 fellows for their critical thinking, openness to feedback, and unwavering commitment to improving education outcomes through good governance.

As the fellowship journey continues, we remain steadfast in shaping leaders who turn ideas into action and projects into policy—matino, mahusay, at may puso—for the communities they serve.
