Meet Jesse
JMRF conducts YLGG 6 Module 2

On November 20–21, 2025, the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation, through the Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) Fellowship Program, in partnership with the National Movement of Young Legislators, gathered the YLGG Batch 6 fellows for Module 2.

Throughout the two-day module, the fellows engaged in a series of insightful discussions, reflective activities, and hands-on workshops designed to deepen their understanding of how local governments, national agencies, and private institutions can work together to strengthen education systems. Through interactive sessions and plenaries, representatives from DepEd, DILG, and LGU shared how policies translate into tangible local outcomes, emphasizing the importance of alignment, coordination, and shared leadership in advancing quality and inclusive education.

The module also featured learning sessions on public–private partnerships, led by experts who highlighted effective models that bring together resources, expertise, and innovation to address local education challenges. Fellows then applied these lessons through a multi-sector negotiation simulation, where they designed education initiatives that respond to issues such as digital learning access, school infrastructure, and inclusive education.

Another key highlight was the session on championing educational initiatives through good governance, featuring practical examples of how reform-oriented leadership can drive sustainable and inclusive education programs at the local level. Fellows also explored the essentials of project management for local education initiatives, learning how to design, implement, monitor, and sustain education projects that truly address community and school needs.

We express our deepest gratitude to all resource speakers, facilitators, and partners who generously shared their expertise and experiences. Their guidance enriched the fellows’ perspectives and challenged them to lead with integrity, strategy, and heart. We also commend the YLGG6 fellows for their active engagement, thoughtful contributions, and genuine commitment to improving education outcomes in their communities.

As we continue this journey, we remain committed to nurturing a new generation of leaders who embody the values of matino, mahusay, at may puso; leaders who listen closely, work collaboratively, and strive relentlessly for the common good.

We look forward to the next module and to the lasting impact this fellowship will inspire in the communities they serve.
