Last July 17, 2026, the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation (JMRF) held its first session of the GoodGov Exchange.

Designed as a series of roundtable discussions for legislators from the House of Representatives, its first installment focused on the pathways, challenges, and realities of achieving inclusive education in the Philippines, bringing together experts across the education sector to share their insights.

The discussions opened with Dr. Maricris B. Acido-Muega, who spoke on Learning Recovery and Quality Education Reforms. She was followed by Dr. Maria Mercedes Rodrigo, who explored Digital Education and Technology Integration.

To provide a more grounded perspective on the current state of Philippine education, participants also heard from Dr. Enrique Angeles, CESO VI, and Lemuel M. Dayo, DEM, who highlighted the Realities of School Settings.

The session concluded with Dr. Milwida Guevara, who discussed the efforts of Synergia Foundation Inc. in addressing the issues of basic education.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the legislators who took the time to deepen their understanding of the state of education in the country. We also thank our distinguished speakers for generously sharing their expertise and insights, helping to equip our legislators to craft policies and serve with the values of matino, mahusay, at may puso leadership.
