Young Leaders for Good Governance
The Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) Fellowship Program is a transformative, one-year leadership and training initiative launched by the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation (JMRF).
Designed specifically for young local officials across the Philippines, the YLGG program is dedicated to cultivating a new breed of public servants who are committed to transparency, accountability, and the active dismantling of traditional, corrupt political practices. By investing in the youth, we are investing in a future where local governments are truly responsive to the needs of the Filipino family.
Program Objectives
The YLGG Fellowship is built to transition idealism into actionable public policy. The program aims to:
Drive Local Reforms: Strengthen the ability of young officials to advocate for, design, and implement concrete good governance reforms within their respective communities.
Foster Mutual Support: Build a robust, collaborative network among young leaders, local civil society organizations (CSOs), and community stakeholders to encourage dialogue and shared solutions.
Champion Transparency: Equip emerging leaders with the practical tools needed to institutionalize full disclosure policies and people empowerment at the grassroots level.
The challenges of the future require leaders who are not bound by the political playbooks of the past. Through the YLGG Fellowship Program, JMRF envisions a thriving network of dynamic, young leaders who carry the torch of Matino at Mahusay governance. By standing firm against corruption and prioritizing the welfare of their constituents, these young leaders will be the driving force in building a more equitable and progressive nation.
